Shrink an image to WebP

Resize and convert pictures right here in your browser. Nothing is uploaded. Made for ReadyTab background images, which must stay under 2 MB, but it works for any photo.

Drop images here or click to choose JPG, PNG, HEIC, GIF, BMP or WebP. Several at once is fine.

Longest side Quality 82 Target

Private by design: the conversion runs with your browser's own image engine. Your pictures never leave your device and nothing is stored.

How it works

Why WebP?

WebP files are usually 25 to 35 percent smaller than JPG at the same visual quality, and every modern browser displays them. A 2560 px photo typically lands between 150 and 500 KB.

What does the target do?

With a target set, the converter starts at your chosen quality and lowers it step by step until the file fits. If it cannot fit even at the lowest quality, pick a smaller longest side.

Using the result in ReadyTab

Open Settings, Design, Background, Image, then choose the downloaded WebP under "Your own image". On a fresh board the same upload sits under the photo gallery.
