Solutions · Team leads

One start page for the team. Kept current by the people who know.

You run a team of five to fifteen. The links live in pinned messages, a shared doc nobody updates and the bookmarks of whoever has been there longest. ReadyTab gives the team one board in every new tab, read-only for most, editable for the few who keep it right, for one CHF 25 license and no seats.

01 / ONE BOARD

The morning starts in the same place.

Tracker, calendar, chat, the current brief and today’s standup notes, on the page everyone opens anyway. A step list tells new people where to begin; a routine button opens the morning set in one click.

Everyday tools · This project · People and rituals

02 / SHARED UPKEEP

The people who notice can fix it.

Give a named edit key to each person or sub-team that owns part of the board. A dead link gets fixed by whoever finds it, the change reaches every screen within a minute, and you revoke a key when a role changes.

Named edit keys · Autosave · Conflict review

03 / NO SEATS

Eight people or twelve, same price.

One Full license hosts the board. Everyone else installs the free extension and pastes one token. Their own workspaces, search and themes stay next to the team tab.

Guides for team leads

How to set it up, and what to expect.

Written for the person who will build the board on a Thursday afternoon and answer the team’s questions on Friday.

Guide

How to give your coworkers a good starting point every morning

Why pins, shared docs and bookmark folders stop working, and the setup: one shared board, quick-copy items for the text people type every day, and edit keys for the people who know.

Coming next

Two more for this page

Stop sharing links in Slack: one board the team can actually find. And who keeps the team board accurate: edit keys, conflicts and ownership. Want one of them first? Say so.

The rollout

Three steps, one afternoon.

  1. Build the board on your desk.

Install ReadyTab, create a workspace named after the team and add three groups: everyday tools, the current project, people and rituals. Add clipboard items for the text people copy every day. This part is free. Quick start.

  2. Host it with Full.

Activate the license, share the workspace as a live board and set a password. Add a named edit key for each person or sub-team who should keep part of it current. Managed boards guide.

  3. Send the team the token.

They install the free extension, paste the token once, and the board appears in every new tab. Editors enter their key once. From then on changes reach everyone on their own. Installation guide.

Practical questions

What team leads ask before setting it up.

Who pays, and how much?

One person hosts the board on Full: CHF 25 a year, or CHF 52.99 once. Everyone who follows or edits the board uses the free extension. There are no seats, so the price is the same for a team of 5 or 15. Pricing.

Can the team edit the board, or only me?

Both work. Boards are read-only by default. Add a named edit key for each person or sub-team who should maintain part of it, and revoke any key on its own later. Edits save automatically and conflicting saves are held for review.

Do people lose their own new tab?

No. The team board is one workspace tab next to their personal ones. Their own links, search, themes and desktop shortcuts stay where they were.

What if someone will not install an extension?

Publish the same workspace as a public board: a read-only web page behind one link that opens in any browser. You update it in place and every visitor sees the new version.

What happens when someone leaves the team?

Revoke their edit key if they had one and, if you want, change the board password. Other keys keep working and nobody else notices. If the person leaving is the board owner, export the board to JSON and import it under the new owner's Full license.

Is this a wiki or an intranet?

No. It is a start page: links, short text, step lists and the snippets people copy every day, on the new tab. The documents themselves stay where they are, which is why the setup takes an afternoon.

Build the team board free. Add Full when the team joins.
